six of our beaches are publicly accessible and are a short drive
from Three Chimneys Inn.
Biking
The Seacoast region of New Hampshire offers biking for all ages
and abilities. One can bike along the seacoast or along an old
railroad through the woods.
Cruises
Isles of Shoals Steamship Company.
Cruise aboard the Victorian style steamship M/V Thomas Laighton
through Historic Portsmouth to the Isles of Shoals. Daily sightseeing
cruises, dinner cruises, party cruises and fall foliage cruises
are available. Other cruises are also available from deep sea
fishing to whale watching.
Fishing
Southern New Hampshire offers a variety of water ways, ranging
from lakes, ponds and streams to the open waters of the Atlantic
Ocean.

Museums
Strawberry Banke Museum is a restored 10 acre waterfront neighborhood
reflecting 350 years of architectural and social change. Furnished
homes on tour, exhibitions, demonstrations of early crafts, role
players, and period gardens in Prescott Park, provide a view of
daily life in the seventeenth century. Strawberry Banke is one
of many historical sites to see.
Shopping
The Inn is centrally located where you will find a wide range
of shopping. Portsmouth’s downtown boasts a variety of fine
boutique. Just over the bridge from Portsmouth you can experience
the outlets in Kittery, Maine. A short drive north from the Inn
in the town of Northwood you will discover Antique Alley.
Skiing
& Snowshoeing
Just a short drive from the Inn Kingman farms offers a variety
of picturesque cross country ski and snowshoe trails. If you prefer
alpine skiing Gunstock ski area is located just 45 minutes from
the Inn.
